I worked with Steve a few years back, amazing guy that I will never forget. Just wish I made the effort to catch up since, but you never think that something like this is going to happen and it will be too late. Sleep well Steve, enjoy the peace my friend.

Steve, although I didn't work closely with you and we only met on a couple of occasions, I sit here feeling compelled to write something because on the times that we did, you were a truly genuine and warm hearted guy, who was simply willing to help. Why does it always happen to the nice guys?? Rest in peace knowing that you placed happiness and warmth in the hearts of so many!

I can only echo the kind words and thoughts that people have already said, all are very true. I worked with Steve for a couple of years and especially during an install in Charleston USA a couple of years back. He was a larger than life character, with a great sense of humour, he will be sorely missed, but his memories will live on. I worked closely at Safran with Steve on the same team as a technician when he was my engineer. I had retired nearly 2 years ago and was absolutely floored when another colleague told me he was in a coma with Covid and even more so when I learnt of his passing. Unfortunately I found out about his funeral a few days after the event, and would have definitely attended to pass on my repects, but I understand he was given a good send - off, which is what he deserved. I always found Steve to be "full of it" - he loved life and as others have said, enjoyed a joke usually practical which kept us all laughing - there was never a dull moment when he was around. He was a great all round guy, always ready to help others with support and advice and always with that friendly smile. I remember a business trip to Hong Kong with him, when he was very much the centre of things, dealing with the customer, putting on his professional head and using his great skills and knowledge in keeping everything going smoothly, working hard and providing great support to all of us and then being at the centre of things again when we finished work and relaxed over a meal and a beer or 2, keeping us laughing into the night. I am devastated to have lost a friend like you, you made me feel welcome and part of the team when I started down Kyle Adams and we became firm friends after that. I had to earn my place in the team with you and your pranks lol. We shared many times just chatting about all things both work wise and personal. You learnt me so much in the early days , the amount of times you would ask me for part numbers was in unbelievable you drove me crazy but I would never have changed you. I met Steve a couple of times before he took ill. He came across as a gentle and nice person and I remember the smile on his face when he was introduced to me. Rest in peace Steve.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve on various projects and he was always one of our "go to men " if an issue should arise, he will be sadly missed as a person but more for his banter and smile, I know I speak for the entire Boeing on site team both past and present in wishing his family our deepest condolences.

I met Steve on my first day at Zodiac (2014) and he's been very helpful to me since then. I learned a lot from him and I will always remember him.

Steve was my first mentor when I joined Safran, and i couldn't have asked for a nicer bloke to take me under his wing, even if he did send me on a prank task to find a 20 meter rule to tape the floor lines. He was always on hand to help and to cheer people up when the pressures of work got a bit much. I was devastated to hear of his passing and still in disbelief, the place won't be the same without him, RIP Steve.

Steve's professional approach and calmness in the face of crisis was always much appreciated and a stabilizing factor to our team. However, the person on the inside is more important. Such an all round nice guy always willing to help and offer some jovial comments in the process. You will be missed my friend. Safran Seats is very saddened by your loss and the fact that Steve's colleagues were very quick to seek to organise a tribute, tells me what a well liked and respected colleague Steve was. I didn't work directly with Steve, but have met and talked with him about the work he was doing. Steve truly was such an amazing person and a wonderful friend. To say that I was shocked to hear of Steve's passing is an understatement. Steve was one of the first few people I really got to know when I started work at Safran. I came from outside of the company into the Industrialisation department and he made me feel so welcome and part of the team. He was a true gentlemen and I will be forever grateful for the help he gave me, not just in a work capacity but also in a personal capacity too. I have many fond memories of Steve, like the time my old car packed up on the M4 on the way home from a bike ride with him, he helped me look for a new one. We spent many hours discussing new car options and he even came with me to test drive the car in Barry after work. I will cherish the memories of our work nights out and the time we went to watch the Darts together in the CIA. But it was the times we spent together in the America that I will hold dear the most. I had the pleasure of working with Steve a number of times in America but it wasn’t just the pleasure of working with Steve, it was the pleasure of socialising with him after a hard day’s work. On the flights out we would sit by each other and spend the hours playing darts on my iPad (he would usually win), after work we would spend time discussing sports or winding each other up over food and a beer and on the odd occasion I would attempt to beat him at "real" darts, which would never happen, and he used to take great pleasure at gloating every time he won haha. Steve, you were such a special person and you will be missed dearly mate. Every time I get into my car or take a sip of coffee out of my Boeing mug I will remember you. RIP. Richard J.

I worked with Steve closely some years ago on the Turkish Airlines programme. He helped us in design with great teamwork and lots of banter. Made the working day a pleasure and great fun to be around. I was shocked and deeply saddened at the news of his passing. I was very shocked and saddened to hear of the news of Steve's passing. I worked with Steve on the United 787 program. Steve was the lead of the industrialization team from Safran (then Zodiac) and helped lead us through the installation of the United seats. The team had some very long and stressful days on-site in Charleston ensuring the seats were installed, so the airplane could be delivered. We couldn't have done it without Steve's knowledge and can do attitude! To know Steve professionally is to know him personally. He was such a genuine person and treated everyone as a friend. I am honored to have known Steve as a collogue and a friend. It was truly heart breaking to hear the news of Steve's passing, I don't believe there are any words that can describe such a loss Steve will be to his family, friends and colleagues, all we can do is try and best reflect on the truly positive influence he had on us. I was fortunate to have the complete pleasure of working closely with Steve, he was a true gentleman, always on hand to help and done so with a smile on his face usually because someone was one the back of one of is many wind ups of which he was always keen to share and make us laugh, during many tough times at work he was the very tonic we all needed to keep us going! :-) Steve was integral to the success of many events at work, in particular during the United Polaris programme. Well Steve, words can't descibe the pain and sadness when I was told of your passing. The emotions I felt crippled me because you were a great work colleague, a great team player and most of all a special friend. Steve's Funeral will take place on Tuesday 12th January 2021. The Service will be held at Glyntaf cremetorium at 1:30pm. Leaving from Steven's family home 34 Caemaen street, Ynyshoeth CF45 4LP at 12:50pm. Due to current restrictions, funeral is limited to 30 people, so unfortunately it is by invite only. For those who would like to pay your respects you are welcome to stand outside Steven's family home or Glyntaf cremetorium following social distancing rules.
